Microneedling in Fareham

Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment designed to stimulate the skin’s natural repair response and support the production of collagen and elastin.

At Sinéad Laura Aesthetics in Hill Head, Fareham, microneedling treatments are personalised to your individual skin concerns, with the aim of improving skin texture, tone and overall skin quality for a smoother, fresher and more revitalised appearance.

What Is Microneedling?

Microneedling uses a specialist device containing very fine needles to create controlled microchannels within the skin.

These microchannels trigger the skin’s natural healing response, stimulating processes involved in collagen and elastin production and skin renewal.

Rather than changing facial features or adding volume, microneedling works by encouraging gradual improvements within your own skin.

What Can Microneedling Help With?

Microneedling may be suitable for a range of skin concerns, including:

• Fine lines

• Uneven skin texture

• Enlarged pores

• Acne scarring

• Selected types of scarring

• Dull or tired-looking skin

• Loss of firmness

• Uneven skin tone

• Stretch marks

• General skin rejuvenation

Suitability and expected outcomes vary depending on the concern being treated and will be discussed during consultation.

What Happens During Treatment?

Your appointment begins with a consultation and skin assessment to discuss your concerns, relevant health information and treatment goals.

The microneedling device is then passed systematically across the treatment area, creating controlled microchannels within the skin.

Treatment settings can be adjusted according to the area being treated, your skin and the desired outcome, allowing your treatment to be individually tailored.

How Many Microneedling Treatments Will I Need?

While improvements may be noticed following a single treatment, a course of microneedling sessions is often recommended for optimal skin rejuvenation.

The number and frequency of treatments required depends on your skin, the concern being addressed and your individual response.

Concerns such as acne scarring or more significant changes in skin texture may require a longer treatment course.

Your recommended treatment plan will be discussed during consultation.

When Will I See Results?

The skin may initially appear fresher following recovery, but the benefits associated with collagen stimulation develop gradually over the weeks following treatment.

With an appropriate treatment course, you may notice improvements in skin texture, smoothness, firmness and overall skin quality.

Results vary between individuals and continue to develop as the skin responds to treatment.

Is There Any Downtime?

Following microneedling, the skin will commonly appear red and feel warm or sensitive, similar to mild sunburn.

Temporary dryness, tightness, sensitivity or mild swelling may also occur as the skin recovers.

The amount of downtime varies according to treatment intensity and individual response. Full aftercare guidance will be provided to support your skin following treatment.

Microneedling or RF Microneedling?

Traditional microneedling and radiofrequency (RF) microneedling both create controlled microchannels within the skin, but RF microneedling also delivers radiofrequency energy into the targeted tissue.

The most appropriate treatment depends on your skin concerns, treatment goals and suitability.

If you're unsure which option is right for you, this can be discussed during your consultation.
