How do I know which treatment is right for me?
Every client and every skin concern is different. A consultation allows us to discuss your concerns, desired outcome and suitable treatment options before creating a personalised treatment plan.
Do you offer complimentary consultations?
Yes. Complimentary, no-obligation consultations are available if you're unsure which treatment is right for you or would simply like to discuss your options before deciding whether to proceed.
What happens at my first appointment?
Your appointment includes a consultation and assessment where relevant health information, your concerns, expectations and treatment options are discussed. Suitability, potential risks, aftercare and expected outcomes will be explained before proceeding with treatment.
Is Sinéad Laura Aesthetics insured and licensed?
Yes. Sinéad Laura Aesthetics is a fully insured and licensed clinic with a strong focus on safety, professional standards, hygiene, consultation and aftercare.
Will my treatment look natural?
My approach is centred around “Look Well. Not Done.” Treatments are individually planned to complement your features and achieve balanced, natural-looking results rather than a one-size-fits-all aesthetic.
Anti-Wrinkle Treatments
How do anti-wrinkle injections work?
Anti-wrinkle injections temporarily reduce activity in selected facial muscles, helping to soften the appearance of dynamic lines created through repeated facial expressions.
When will I see results from anti-wrinkle injections?
Results develop gradually following treatment rather than appearing immediately. Your individual treatment plan, expected onset and review arrangements will be discussed during your appointment.
How long do anti-wrinkle treatment results last?
Longevity varies between individuals and can be influenced by factors including the treatment area, muscle activity and individual response. Maintenance treatments can be discussed as part of your personalised treatment plan.
Dermal Fillers & Lip Enhancement
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable treatments commonly formulated with hyaluronic acid and can be used to enhance facial proportions, restore selected areas of volume and improve contour and definition.
What areas can be treated with dermal filler?
Depending on individual suitability and treatment goals, dermal filler can be used in areas including the lips, cheeks, chin, jawline and selected facial lines and contours. Liquid rhinoplasty and other facial-balancing treatments are also available.
How long does lip filler last?
There is no single timeframe that applies to everyone. Longevity varies according to the product used, treatment area, metabolism, lifestyle and individual response.
Will lip filler look natural?
Absolutely natural-looking lip enhancement is possible when treatment is carefully planned. Lip treatments are tailored to your existing anatomy, proportions and desired outcome rather than following a particular trend or standard lip shape.
Is there downtime after dermal filler?
Temporary swelling, tenderness, redness and bruising can occur following injectable treatments. The degree and duration vary between individuals and treatment areas. Full aftercare information is provided.
Polynucleotides, Profhilo & Skin Boosters
What are polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides are injectable biostimulatory treatments designed to support the skin's natural regenerative processes and improve overall skin quality rather than adding facial volume.
What can polynucleotides improve?
They may help improve skin hydration, texture, elasticity and the appearance of fine lines, producing gradual, natural-looking skin rejuvenation.
What is the difference between polynucleotides, skin boosters and dermal filler?
Although all are injectable treatments, they have different purposes. Dermal fillers are primarily used to create or restore volume and structure. Skin boosters focus predominantly on skin hydration and quality, while polynucleotides are biostimulatory treatments that support skin regeneration and repair.
How many polynucleotide treatments will I need?
Treatment protocols vary depending on the product, treatment area and individual skin concerns, but a course of treatments is commonly recommended rather than a single appointment. Your individual schedule will be discussed during consultation.
Skin Rejuvenation
What skin rejuvenation treatments do you offer?
Treatments include polynucleotides, Profhilo, skin boosters, microneedling, radiofrequency microneedling, chemical peels and other individually selected skin treatments.
Which treatment is best for my skin?
That depends on your skin, concerns and goals. Rather than choosing a treatment based purely on trends, a consultation allows us to assess your skin and recommend an appropriate treatment or combination of treatments.
What is microneedling?
Microneedling creates controlled microchannels within the skin to stimulate its natural repair response and support collagen production. It can be used to improve overall skin texture and quality and address a range of appropriate skin concerns.
What is RF microneedling?
Radiofrequency microneedling combines microneedling with controlled radiofrequency energy delivered into the skin. It is designed to stimulate collagen and support improvements in skin texture, firmness and overall quality.
What is BioRePeel?
BioRePeel is a professional chemical peel designed to support skin renewal and improve the appearance of concerns such as uneven texture, congestion, dullness and signs of ageing. Suitability and treatment frequency are assessed individually.
Scalp Micropigmentation
What is scalp micropigmentation?
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-surgical treatment that uses precisely placed pigment to replicate the appearance of natural hair follicles. It can create the appearance of greater density, redefine a hairline or camouflage appropriate areas of hair loss or scarring.
Is scalp micropigmentation suitable for women?
Yes. SMP can be suitable for both men and women, including clients experiencing thinning hair where creating the appearance of additional density may be beneficial.
How many scalp micropigmentation sessions will I need?
SMP is usually built gradually over a course of sessions to create a natural result. The number required varies according to the treatment area, skin and desired outcome and will be discussed during consultation.
How long does scalp micropigmentation last?
SMP is considered long-lasting rather than permanent. Pigment gradually softens and fades over time, and maintenance sessions may eventually be recommended.
Permanent Makeup
What permanent makeup treatments do you offer?
Permanent makeup treatments include powder/ombré brows, permanent eyeliner and lip blush, individually designed to complement your facial features, colouring and personal preferences.
How long does permanent makeup last?
Permanent makeup gradually fades over time. Longevity varies according to the treatment, skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, skincare and individual pigment retention. Maintenance or colour-boost appointments may be recommended.
Will my permanent makeup look natural?
Treatments are carefully designed around your facial features, colouring, skin tone and desired outcome. Shape and colour are discussed before treatment so you are involved in the design process.
Safety, Downtime & Aftercare
Are aesthetic treatments safe?
All aesthetic procedures carry potential risks and side effects. Treatments at Sinéad Laura Aesthetics are performed following consultation and suitability assessment, with appropriate hygiene, treatment protocols and aftercare. Individual risks are discussed before treatment so you can make an informed decision.
How much downtime should I expect?
Downtime varies considerably between treatments and individuals. Some treatments involve very little disruption, while others may cause temporary redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, peeling or sensitivity. Your expected downtime will be explained before treatment.
Will I receive aftercare advice?
Yes. Appropriate aftercare guidance is provided following treatment, including information about what to expect and anything you should temporarily avoid.
Can I have aesthetic treatments while pregnant or breastfeeding?
